Treatment Description

This session works into the deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue using firm pressure and slow, deliberate strokes combined with trigger point therapy. The therapist will warm up the muscles before gradually increasing pressure, paying close attention to areas that hold stress such as the neck, shoulders, back, and legs. This treatment works slowly and deliberately through deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue to address chronic tension patterns. Pressure is firm and intentional. This works well for persistently tight muscles and areas with limited mobility. We would not recommend this treatment if you are feeling inflamed or run down. Deep Tissue Massage is best for: Chronic muscle tension Postural strain Repetitive stress (desk work, driving) Old injuries (non-acute) Restricted in movement This can sometimes cause mild temporary discomfort, often using the forearms, knuckles, or elbows, which allows the therapist to work through each muscle layer with precision and care. This approach also helps to break down adhesions and scar tissue, which are stiff bands that limit movement and cause discomfort. By stimulating circulation and easing tightness, deep tissue massage encourages the body’s natural healing process, reduces inflammation, and restores balance and mobility to the affected areas. The goal is not only to ease physical pain and stiffness but also to release built-up stress & tension, leaving you feeling lighter and relaxed. FAQ – Deep Tissue Massage Is deep tissue painful?
